Raccoon Ridge Adventure Challenge Course
Adventure Education is a proven learning system first dating back to the 1950’s. In the 1980’s Great Oaks began using Adventure in its programs to Peoria’s at-risk youth. In 2006, more than 80 schools, churches, and corporations used the Raccoon Ridge Adventure Challenge Course to develop personal and team growth through a series of progressively challenging tasks.
Some tasks on the Challenge Course are physical, though one does not need to be athletic to participate. Some tasks are intellectually challenging, though one does not need to be a genius to solve them. All tasks require the "pillars" of Teamwork to successfully complete them. Our goal is not to get a group through as many tasks as possible, but to foster team and individual development through every part of the experience.

New Programs
Our latest addition includes Portable Classroom Teambuilding brought to your school or office in 3-hour increments. This program is currently being used in two local Alternative High Schools and can be used in any number of contexts.
